Knowing Jesus

I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. John 14:6

The Certainty of Death

It's just a hard cold fact that everyone who is born will die, and tragically, most people will reach their final moment totally unprepared for death. We prepare for disasters that may or may not happen. We prepare for vacations that come and go. We even prepare ourselves to go to the movies, but most people are NOT prepared for death.

Man's Desperate Condition

The certainty of our physical death on earth may sound bleak, but actually, our situation is much worse than that. We are born with a beating heart and living tissue, but the Bible teaches that "none are worthy, no not one.", and that ever since the fall of man, we are born with the sin nature as fallen people on a fallen world. Therefore, we have living physical bodies with spiritual deadness, and our default position is hell not heaven. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS. Any collection of "good" things you accomplish do NOT erase or even counterbalance the sin in your life, and the wages of sin is DEATH.

Ascension of Jesus

Only Jesus has Overcome Death, and He is Lord of All

In His love, God provided a solution for our desperate condition through His Son, Jesus. The Bible teaches that death was brought by sin. Jesus lived a sinless life in the perfect will of God the Father thereby defeating sin. This was proven on the 3rd day when the grave could not hold Him thereby defeating death. Jesus now sits at the right hand of God the Father, and He lives forever. Only Jesus defeated sin and death, and only Jesus can offer eternal life to others.

Lots of people choose to worship other gods, or they choose not to worship. But when you die, your choices are over. You stand before Jesus, and every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess Jesus as Lord. Those who make this confession while alive on earth start a loving relationship with the creator of the universe and spend eternity in the glory of our magnificent King. Those who wait too late, make this confession as a part of their eternal condemnation. He's standing at the door knocking. PLEASE OPEN THE DOOR, AND LET JESUS INTO YOUR LIFE!
