Abortion
Somehow, abortion has become a "social issue" or a "legal debate". Well, it's not debatable from a biblical perspective. Abortion is wrong. It is sin. It is murder. This is not meant to be a condemnation of anyone who has played any role in abortion. When it comes to sin, we all live in glass houses. We are all guilty well beyond our own comprehension. Plus, it is also sin to be self-righteous, judgmental or condescending. But to have a growing relationship with our Savior, we must know and embrace Biblical truths.
It is wrong to kill our children when they reach one day old or one year old. It's even wrong to kill them during the terrible twos. How did it become OK to kill them a few months earlier than that? God knows us from before we reach our mother's womb. The fetus is Gods creation. It is a living entity with body and soul. It is NOT a tissue mass. It is the same living entity that should be born, grow up, fall in love, start a new family, spoil their grandkids, and die of natural causes.
The abortion advocates are adamant about the "women's right to chose" and women having authority over her own body. Women have all the same rights as men. They have the right to have sex or not have sex. They have the right to chose who to have sex with and when. They have the right to use birth control or not. As everyone knows, it is by God's design that new life come into this world through the woman's body. When a baby is conceived, the baby's right to live overrides the mother's right to kill her baby. She now has a God given responsibility to nurture and protect new life.
On January 22, 1973 (Roe v Wade), five of nine judges yielded the worst failure in the history of the United States Supreme Court. The consequences of that failure yielded the worst crime against humanity in the history of man (57 million slaughtered in the US alone and counting). Judges do NOT have authority to redefine when life begins, nor does anyone else. That decision was made by God, and His decision is final. It may be legal in America for parents and doctors to kill unborn babies, but that doesn't make it right. It simply makes America among the most pagan, wicked, barbaric cultures in the history of man. We sacrifice our children at the alter of "a woman's right to chose" and at the alter of "This really wasn't my plan, and it's really not convenient right now".
